The artisan created this beautiful Nepali Cintachakra (White Tara) statue with a hand-carved crystal body and embedded semi-precious stones — her face and torso rendered in translucent crystal, the serene features carved directly into the polished stone and framed in fire gilded copper. Deep red stone drops hang from her gold necklaces, green stones accent the armbands, and elegant white inlay ribbons arc across her shoulders and arms, while her blue-painted hair rises into a tall topknot above the crown. The artisan included the full crown and earrings of a Bodhisattva, and at the buyer’s request we would be happy to further adorn them with turquoise and red coral stones, at no extra charge, before delivery. Our Nepali Cintachakra statue is seated in the full lotus pose, also known as the vajra, or thunderbolt, position — her crystal complexion emanating the glow of a thousand white moons. Her right hand lies across her right knee in the mudra of supreme generosity, while her left hand, raised before her heart, holds the stem of the utpala flower between thumb and finger, the blossom opening on its carved stem beside her shoulder.7 Eyed Nepali Cintachakra StatueCintachakra’s rich symbolism is fortified by her seven eyes. There are three on her head — including the eye in the middle of her forehead, enabling her to see ultimate reality — plus a single eye on each palm and on the soles of her feet. All of her actions are thereby governed by ultimate compassion and wisdom.Cintachakra is counted among the 21 emanations of the Tara Bodhisattva. Also known as the “Wish Fulfilling Wheel,” Cintachakra grants the wishes of her devotees, and she is one of the three Tibetan long life deities, sharing her attributes of healing, long life, compassion, and serenity with her followers.
