The sculptor hand crafted this beautiful Dolkar statue with the jewelry and crown of a Bodhisattva — a tall five-pointed crown accented with colored stones, rising around her blue-painted hair, with layered necklaces, armbands, bracelets, and anklets completing the set. At the request of the buyer, we would be happy to adorn the crown and jewels with turquoise and red stones — at no extra charge, our skilled artisans can embellish the statue before delivery. The color turquoise is a special combination of blue and green — blue signifies the purity of the Buddhas, and green symbolizes their readiness to act. This Dolkar statue will inspire all who lay eyes on it.Our Dolkar statue embodies one of Tara’s most beloved emanations. Her devotees believe she glows with the radiance of a thousand white moons, and she watches over them with seven eyes: two on her face, a third upright at the center of her forehead, and one on each palm and each sole — visible here on the open palm of her right hand — so that all her thoughts and actions are imbued with wisdom and compassion. White Tara’s seven eyes represent her compassionate awareness extending in every direction — learn more about the meaning behind her seven eyes.Features of Dolkar (White Tara) StatueThis classic Dolkar statue sits in full lotus pose on a stacked double lotus pedestal — two tiers of petals rising from a tall, engraved base. Two lotus flowers blossom on carved stems at her shoulders: a fully opened bloom at her right and a rounded bud at her left, a traditional pairing signifying the Dharma flowering across past, present, and future. Her right hand rests open over the knee in the Varada, or “gift giving,” mudra, while her raised left hand holds a lotus stem delicately between thumb and fingers in the gesture of refuge and teaching.Dolkar is also known as Cintachakra, a Sanskrit term meaning “wish fulfilling wheel.” She is strongly affiliated with serenity, healing, compassion, and long life — indeed, she is counted among the three deities of long life in Tibetan Buddhism, alongside Amitayus and Namgyalma.
