Biography engraver: Jean-Christophe Himely (1801-1872) was a Swiss-French engraver known for finely executed aquatints of landscapes and topographical views. Active in Paris, he collaborated on several series featuring Swiss scenery. Biography artist: Marie Rose d’Ostervald (1795-1831) was a Swiss female artist from Neuch?tel, known for her watercolors and romanticized alpine scenes. She was one of the few published female artists of the period.
