Made by Johannes Visscher after Nicolaes Pietersz. Berchem. Medium: Etching / engraving on handlaid / verge paper. Watermark: countermark I. Sheet size: 23.2 x 15.1 cm (9.13 x 5.94 inch). Image size: 22.5 x 14.2 cm. (8.86 x 5.59 inch). Condition: good, given age. Stain on the right. Remains of paper tape in corners on reverse. Thin paper spot at top right. Biography engraver: Johannes Visscher (1633-na 1692), was a Dutch engraver and etcher and brother from Cornelis and Lambert Visscher. . Biography artist: Nicolaas Pietersz. Berchem, (Haarlem, 1622 – Amsterdam, 18 februari 1683) was a Dutch painter, draftsman, and etcher. He is best known for his pastoral Mediterranean landscapes.
